The Duke Of Haggard
While researching our book, The Sinner's Guide to the Evangelical Right, we spent some time with New Life Church's Ted Haggard. We know he's a little nutty. He speaks in tongues, says Halloween is "evil" and told us that pro-business capitalism produces a clean environment. He also talks to George Bush every Monday and is the head of the National Association of Evangelicals. This documentary by Richard Dawkins is priceless. Be sure to watch the whole thing. It ends with Haggard nearly blowing a gasket. We really thought he was going to punch Dawkins for a moment there. Just watch it. [thanks Chris]
